Gigglesnaps Gone Country

Bout' time I put Ami's wedding on my blog, ya'll. Ami and T.J. were married on June 6, 2009 at a little country church in Ashland, AL. Everything was JUST beautiful, from the sunflowers and black gingham touches to the delicious fish fry and homemade jam that the guests got to take home for favors. Here are a few of my fave images from their awesome wedding:

Yep. Jazz hands.

Someone left this boat here just for us. Nice. :)

We heart Rock n' Roll Bride....and get hearted right back :)

Okay I really should have posted this earlier in the week, but you know me! And if you don't know me, this lateness is classic "ME". So now even if you don't know me......you can feel as if you do know me. Right?

Anyway, Rock n' Roll Bride chose to feature Lori & Phillip's wedding on their weekly 'Savvy Scoop' blog entry on Onewed.com ...... so cool! Here is the link:

Introducing......Megan on Wheels!

So, late but great, here is my new intern, Megan! That's right, I waited until she got here to tell her that skating was required as part of this internship.....and little did I know we were separated at birth. She's like mini-me. Crazy, talented, and really cute. Well okay, let's not go into a battle on cuteness because I think we all know where that one goes. At any rate, for the next two months I am like her Jedi master. Teach her all I know, I will. :)

And, she knows fashion. Who else would have knee socks that so perfectly compliment my oh-so-cool skates? Like seriously, she had these in her wardrobe already.

Jenna, being all cool on her skates. I am like her Jedi master too.

Dude. She is totally getting passed by a twelve-year-old.

Caeden apparently turns into a bunny whenever he sees her. True story :)

So, welcome Meggie....we are going to make a great team this summer. Watch out everyone! :)

Kara Gets Her Wings.....May 30, 2009

Okay, little late, here is our session at the airport! We were in Heaven from the moment we got there. The guys who owned the planes were SO nice to us, I believe we now know the history of at least half of the aircraft on site.....plus we got to see so many other cool things too. I wish we could have stayed longer to capture so much more. Hopefully, another time!

Here's what photographer's do when their clients are changing. :)

Wednesday

Jennifer & Daniel.....May 16, 2009

Jennifer and Daniel were married near Dora, Alabama. Once again, the forecast was rain, rain, RAIN. But, it managed to hold off once again until just after the ceremony! Jennifer is such a sweet girl, but so QUIET. Which, many of you know, makes me talk even more......which I did. So, sorry guys, but I had a lot of fun! At least Daniel is NOT quiet, so somebody was around to stop my endless chatter :) They were so sweet together and a fun couple to hang out with.....and Jennifer is so gorgeous! Plus, dig the hot pink shoes and socks, plus the Daytona car that they left in......I LOVE it!

Summertime (and Kevintime too)....May 9, 2009

Summer and Kevin, my OH my what a good time we had! They got married at the Alumni House in Jacksonville, Alabama. A really neat place to have a wedding! The rain held off until the reception, and then it really poured for awhile. Luckily they had a great pavilion where the dance floor was, and there were a lot of really nice people willing to run the wedding cake, food, etc. out of the weather. What is UP with all of this rain here lately? Anyway, here are a few highlights from their big day!

A chicken, ya'll. :)

They are supposed to be having their "private moment". Not anymore.

Kevin was feeling a bit left out, I think. After all, I heard he'd been practicing in front of the mirror for these pictures. So, I let him have his "moment" in the spotlight as well. I'm nice like that :)

On your mark.... :)

THE Kiss.

Summer, you are just the cutest thing! Kevin, all that practicing sure paid off! :) Thank you for letting me hang out with you guys!

Monday

Sonja & Mike.....1950's Hollywood Style!

Okay, I don't normally blog engagements right now (I'm too busy!)......but I am so excited about this couple's wedding. They're actually having a 1950's Hollywood theme, and it's going to be really cool. We had SO much fun at this session, which we did on Morris Avenue in downtown Birmingham. Anyway, Sonja and Mike are just the kind of people you can hang out with all day......they are so easygoing, funny, and laid back. Here are a few of my favorite images from their session, and let me tell you I had a really hard time choosing!

We stopped at a gas station (or should I call it a "filling station"?) to get cigars for the pics....which really added to the feel. Anyway, Mike was really liking the idea and getting the hang of it, too.....it was like he "became" the 1950's gangster. We even gave him a proper gangster name....."Smiles". I wouldn't be surprised if he walked into the ceremony and lit one up.....you better have a little talk with him, Sonja. :)

A little fun artwork. Those are actually the kind of matches that Mike used to light his cigar.....so I thought it would be fitting for Sonja to do an ad for them.

They are laughing because some guy came by in a pickup truck and told them there was a lady laying on the ground taking pictures of them. :)

Nothing like the trust between a photographer and her clients. I think this is Sonja's "nervous laugh". "Smiles" has no fear of death, of course.

You guys are so much fun, I can't wait until your wedding! :)

Friday

Jayna & Ryan.....May 3, 2009

One week later, and I'm back at the Sonnet House. I've never seen such a horrible weather forecast. Thunderstorms, hail, tornadoes, the sky is falling. You name it! Somehow we made it through with much less rain than we expected. Even though the tornado siren started going of RIGHT BEFORE the ceremony began (outside ceremony too)! Needless to say, I had all of my umbrellas ready to go! :)

Thursday

Alexis & Brian.....May 1, 2009

Alexis and Brian were married at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Anniston. They are super sweet, I just fell in love with them and their wonderful friends and family! Their reception was a great party at the Anniston Country Club.

I had a great time with you guys, really! Thanks so much! :)

Lori & Phillip.....April 24, 2009

Lori & Phillip were married at the FABULOUS Sonnet House, of course a totally awesome place to tie the knot......check 'em out thesonnethouse.com ! Lori and Phillip are a really cool couple with rock star personalities, as you can see, so I had a lot of fun making this "tribute" to their wedding. I don't usually include info about other vendors unless I am asked, but this wedding had such a unique feel to it that some may want to know the other "team members" that contributed. Mandy with Hothouse Designs hothousedesignstudio.com did an amazing job on the flowers, she really brought Lori's unique style out in the end product.....very impressive. My good friend Claus Martel clausmartel.com did their video, he had a bit of help from one of the bridesmaids though, and at one point Phillip had the camera as well.....so, Lori, how much did you pay this guy??? :) I hear the food was wonderful, although I didn't get any this time, but the event was catered by Saturday Gourmet thesaturdaygourmet.com . The DJ was Mike with Shell Entertainment shellentertainment.com , I have done several weddings with him and everyone always has a great time!

Seriously, a beautiful, SPECTACULAR wedding......I am so glad to have been a part of it!
